Flutterfest is an event that we do at Prairie Ridge Eco Station where we are introducing people to pollinators.
Pollinators are such incredible, amazing, important animals and so we want to teach particularly kids more about these animals.
A pollinator is an animal that moves pollen from flower to flower.
They're very essential for a lot of plant species to actually produce seeds and so that they can reproduce and make more plants.
With Flutterfest we're really hoping that people will understand more about the importance of pollinators, those animals that help plants reproduce.
They produce a big chunk of what we eat.
They're important for animals and wildlife and just ecosystems overall.
We really want people to understand how valuable they are to us as people but also to the world around us.
