Deadline for applying for Temporary Protected Status extended by six weeks
“I’m happy,” Galyna Perederii says. She and her family became eligible for Temporary Protected Status — or TPS — under expanded eligibility granted this week to Ukrainians in the U.S. by the Biden administration. By extending the deadline for TSP applications for Ukrainians by an extra six weeks, the U.S. opened eligibility to an estimated 60,000 additional Ukrainian refugees.
