Home care workers push for higher pay, which is not included in Hochul's budget plan.

The issue of higher pay for home care workers is already on the table as New York State prepares to approve a final state budget by April 1st. Last year, these workers received a small pay bump of $2 above minimum wage, but they believe this was not enough. They are advocating for their minimum wage to be set at around $22 an hour, which is not part of Governor Kathy Hochul's budget plan.
