The New York Philharmonic celebrates its 175th birthday.

The New York Philharmonic's inaugural concert took place 175 years ago, on December 7, 1842. To celebrate this impressive milestone, the Philharmonic presents several major projects including: a series titled “175th Birthday Concerts,” to be led by former Music Director Alan Gilbert, and nearly 100 historic radio broadcast performances that will be released for streaming for the first time.
