Cornell University and Israel's Technion Institute of Technology, have won the competition to build an applied sciences and engineering campus in New York City. By 2018, they expect to have enrolled 3,300 graduate students in new facilities on Roosevelt Island. MetroFocus looked at the story behind the winning bid in a new special hosted by Rafael Pi Roman, with a contribution from Jane Pauley.
